The NewRay 1:42 Cessna 172 Skyhawk with Wheel Diecast Aircraft is a reasonably priced model that is easy to assemble, taking only five minutes and requiring no glue, just 4 screws. Some reviewers found it perfect for flight instruction use. However, some customers noted that while described as die-cast, the model is actually made of highly polished plastic. Additionally, the painted areas are ok, but not perfect, and the tires and propeller are unpainted. Some buyers highlighted that the plane is tail heavy and requires nose weight to stabilize it, or a small post under the tail may be necessary. These customers felt that the stand is very loose and requires gluing if chosen for use. Another concern raised was that the model lacks a front landing gear, instead featuring a rear dummy wheel that is part of the plastic mold.
