Shojo Editorial Review
**** Veil Volume 2: Calming Noir has garnered a warm reception from readers who appreciate its delicate and subtle approach to romance. The continuation of the story follows the evolving relationship between a blind woman and a policeman, portrayed beautifully through elegant illustrations and thoughtful dialogue. Fans of the series find the gentle, slow burn between the main characters endearing, and many are particularly struck by the sweet moments that unfold throughout the narrative. Readers have noted that this volume enhances the intimacy and warmth of the characters’ interactions compared to its predecessor, with more tenderness and flirtation on display. While some expressed that the first volume resonated with them more profoundly, the Consensus is that Volume 2 maintains the charm and emotional connection that has captivated its audience. The art style continues to evoke a sense of elegance, perfectly complementing the story’s tone, which eschews explicitness for a more sentimental portrayal of love and connection. Although there are some concerns about the narrative not having a deep overarching plot, the series is appreciated for its episodic nature, showcasing moments in the protagonists' lives. Fans of the manga eagerly await future volumes, excited to see how the characters' relationship continues to develop. **
