Horror Editorial Review
Pulse is a Japanese horror film that explores the fear of technology and loneliness. The film's central theme is expressed through an unusual premise where people log onto a website and are asked, "Do you want to see a ghost?" The haunting concept of a population slowly disappearing and being replaced by ghosts works on a unique level, making the film an effective horror experience. However, it can be confusing at times, and the plot feels random and unexplained. The cinematography is impressive, and the transition scenes are often well-executed, but the graphics display the age of the movie's release in 2005. Despite its flaws, Pulse remains worth a watch, especially for those interested in Japanese horror.
