The translation of the book from German is subpar, with missing words and botched transliterations. However, the book covers all important topics related to database systems, including SQL, database design, specialty databases, architectures, and transactions. The authors waste a lot of words and use unclear explanations, making it difficult for readers to grasp the concepts. The advanced topics are the only redeeming aspect of the book. Some customers received the book in perfect condition, while others experienced it falling apart.
