Values & Virtues Editorial Review
Torment (Fallen, Book 2) is a must-read for anyone who enjoyed the first book of the series. The story itself can be slow at times, but the ending is worth the wait. The author, Lauren Kate, has created a world filled with angels, devils, and nephilims that captivates readers from beginning to end. Luce, the main character, is kept safe but takes risks to learn about herself while being protected by Daniel, Cam, and others. Along the way, she makes new friends who also come to her aid. The battle is won, but Luce needs time to think about her confusing life, and readers are left with a cliffhanger that makes them eager for the next book in the series.
